Jugal Himal Trek is the non-tourist trekking trail in the Langtang region towards the north east of the Kathmandu valley. The nearest mountain range to the northeast of Kathmandu is Jugal Himal which consists of chain of peaks such as Dorje Lakpa Madiya and Phurbi Chhyachu. This trek offers the peace and tranquility to the trekkers. The superb mountain vistas, picturesque village, lush forest of rhododendron, abundance of wild animals and birds with impressive display of the wild flower makes your trek a lifetime memory. In this trek you also see the beautiful view of the Panch Pokhari and Bhairab Kunda Lake. Panch Pokhari (the five lakes), the sacred place of Hindu pilgrims which is seldom visited as pilgrimage site is also another attraction site.

Jugal Himal trek begins from the Sundarijal in the northeast corner of the Kathmandu valley. This Trek is special for trekkers who would prefer less crowded trail. In this trek you enjoy the unspoiled natural and cultural beauty. You enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains like Jugal Himal, Gaurishankar Himal, Langtang Himalayan range and many more. During the this trek you also explore the culture and tradition of the Tamang, Sherpa and Hyolmo people. This trek gives the wilderness experience to the trekkers. The best seasons to go for this trek are autumn and spring season.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing

Day 3: Kathmandu to Chisapani (2300m.)

Day 4: Chisapani to Kutumsang (2470m.)

Day 5: Kutumsang to Therapati (3430m.)

Day 6: Tharepati to Tarkeghyang (2550m.)

Day 7: Tarke Ghang to Sermathang (2621m.)

Day 8: Sermathang to Yangri River (2103m.)

Day 9: Yangri to Dukeng (2103m.)

Day 10: Dukeng to Nasim Pati (3612m.)

Day 11: Nasim Pati to Panch Pokhari (4054m.)

Day 12: Panch Pokhari to Gai Kharka (2530m.)

Day 13: Gai Kharka to Yarsa (2195m.)

Day 14: Yarsa to Phusre (2012m.)

Day 15: Phusre to Sheoli (1829m.)

Day 16: Sheoli to Chautara (1418m.) and drive to Kathmandu

Day 17: Departure

  1. What if I have never been trekking before?

Prior to your Trek or Expedition, it is necessary to be in good physical shape. So in order to maintain your body in a good condition for the trek a regular exercise is needed so walk 2 to 3 hours daily. This much effort from your side is enough, rest we do from our side to make our trip more successful.

While booking your holiday you inform us about your health condition, then we customize walking hour in the trek according to your wish.


  1. How about Mountain Sickness during the trek?

We have tried our best in itinerary for the pacing and progression to altitude adjustment during high altitude treks. Our guides are experienced, trained and familiar with Altitude Sickness. Throughout the trek our guide will closely monitor the clients individually and as soon as the effects of altitude sickness is seen on you our guide will help you quickly to get down to lower altitude.


  1. What if I need medical assistance at some point during the trip?In the mountain we are not sure what will happen but we try our best good things to happen. In case of emergency, our staffs are well trained, experienced and know how to facilitate medical treatment and emergency transport.


  1. If I cancel my trip can I get a refund?

No refund will be there after you participate in the trek but while cancellation 2 week priors to depart for the trek 25% will be charged and rest will be refunded.
