Pikey Junbesi Trek

Pikey Junbesi Trek is a short trek done in the lower part of Solu Region. From the top of the Pikey Peak  (4,065 m) you can observe the panoramic view of the Himalayan region including Mt. Everest (8848m.), Makalu, Cho Oyo, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, Gauri Shankar, Numbur, Mera peak and many more snow clad mountains. It is the spectacular and culturally fascinating of the beaten trek that enchants every visitor who treks into this region. Trekkers experience the local  authentic culture not influenced by the modern developments. During the Trek you enjoy the mountain vistas, cultural beauty, beautiful monasteries, various flora and fauna.

While you are in this trekking you traverse through nice and beautiful Sherpa village exploring and enjoying their daily lifestyle, culture and religion. Most of the people of this religion follow the Tibetan Nyingmapa sect of Buddhist religion. During the trek you visit many age old Sherpa Buddhist monasteries and interact with the Buddhist Monks. You also traverse through the spectacular hills and lush forest of the rhododendron and pine enjoying the natural scenery and the mountain vistas. The best seasons  for this trek are spring and autumn season.

–  Trekking in low altitude area with fantastic view of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and many others.
–  Easy and soft trek in unexplored trekking trail.
–  Visiting the old Monastery. 

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Dhap via Jeep.

Day 2: Trek to Jhapre.

Day 3: Trek to High Camp.

Day 4: Trek to Junbesi.

Day 5:  Rest day or hike to Thuptenchholing  Monastery.

Day 6: Trek to Phaplu.

Day 7: Drive back to Ktm via jeep.

Services included:

  • With all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and overnight in tea house lodges during the Trek.

  1. What if I have never been trekking before?

Prior to your Trek or Expedition, it is necessary to be in good physical shape. So in order to maintain your body in a good condition for the trek a regular exercise is needed so walk 2 to 3 hours daily. This much effort from your side is enough, rest we do from our side to make our trip more successful.

While booking your holiday you inform us about your health condition, then we customize walking hour in the trek according to your wish.

 

  1. How about Mountain Sickness during the trek?

We have tried our best in itinerary for the pacing and progression to altitude adjustment during high altitude treks. Our guides are experienced, trained and familiar with Altitude Sickness. Throughout the trek our guide will closely monitor the clients individually and as soon as the effects of altitude sickness is seen on you our guide will help you quickly to get down to lower altitude.

 

 

  1. What if I need medical assistance at some point during the trip?

In the mountain we are not sure what will happen but we try our best good things to happen. In case of emergency, our staffs are well trained, experienced and know how to facilitate medical treatment and emergency transport.

 

  1. If I cancel my trip can I get a refund?

No refund will be there after you participate in the trek but while cancellation 2 week priors to depart for the trek 25% will be charged and rest will be refunded.
